Purchasing machine time for our large industrial 4’x10′ Legacy Gemini CNC mill (aka “Big Bertha”) is primarily for members who have been certified on it.

If you are not certified and would like have a member of the CNC Team run a job for you, you will have to purchase the $60/half hour option, plus a matching amount of Consulting Time. If you have machine time credit, you can use it to help pay for the machine time portion of the cost. Reach out via email or discord to schedule a time.

This machine has an auto tool changer and cuts 3-4 times faster than our smaller 3′ Shapeoko CNC mill.

Even after certification, for safety, guided setup from one of the CNC Team members is required at the beginning of your session. Reach out to the wood-cnc channel on discord to arrange a time.

During guided setup, the CNC Team Member will help verify your file and tool changes are correct to make sure your job goes successfully.

When purchasing machine time, you are paying for the total duration of your session, which includes guided setup time and cleanup. Allow half an hour for guided setup.

Example: If your job is 25 minutes long, purchase two units of this machine time- one for the guided setup, and one to cover the cutting time and cleanup.
