Ceramics Certification
Seattle Makers’ members (at maker and builder levels) who have previous clay experience can get certified to use the ceramics studio via a test-out with a studio maketeer.
Students (members or non-members) with no previous clay experience can also become certified by taking the 4-part beginner series.
If you are not a Seattle Makers Member but you have previous clay experience, become a member and get certified!
Studio Usage
Our ceramic studio is open for usage during building hours for all who are certified to use the studio at no extra cost.
Clay Usage
A 12.5 lb bag of clay is free upon joining the studio or signing up for a 4-part series class. Subsequent clay can be purchased in-person at the studio.
Firing Policies
We fire our bisqueware to cone 06 and our glazes to cone 6. We charge for both firings before the bisque at $40 for a quarter kiln shelf worth of work (spaced out and no stacking).
