Sewing Skills – Button Hole Foot

Did your sewing machine include some confusing attachments? In this edition of “Sewing Skills” we will look at the Buttonhole Foot and the Button Sewing Foot. These two feet allow you to make button holes and then also machine-attach the matching button.

Enrollment Requirements: Anyone aged 8+ (youth 8-16 must have a guardian present). Must have Sewing 101 or equivalent experience with threading and troubleshooting a basic domestic machine.

What we’ll provide: Sewing machines, presser feet, buttons, thread, scissors, pins, and pre-cut fabric.

What to bring: You are welcome to bring your own machine and presser feet. We will learn together on the classroom machines and can take a peek at your setup at the end.

Please sign up at least 24 hours in advance. To check availability within 24 hours of this event’s start time, call (206) 659-1726.
