Are you ready to look smart and keep clean while enjoying your hobbies? Join us for an apron-making workshop and keep the stains at bay! During this project-based workshop, we’ll talk a bit about design and planning before diving in to making our own aprons.  An instructor will be present to demonstrate best practices and assist as needed, but each person’s apron will vary depending on individual needs and styles. Customize with pockets! Add loops for specialty tools! Make split legs for ceramic work! Let’s make your ideal apron a reality. By the end of this event attendees will have sewn together a killer apron of their own design. 

What you get to take home: Your own apron made at Seattle Makers!

Prerequisites: Sewing 101 or equivalent sewing knowledge. Email rachel@seattlemakers.org with credentials of sewing machine understanding (e.g. a certificate or examples of things you’ve sewn).

What we’ll provide: Thread, sewing machines, canvas material, pre-cut pattern pieces and supplies.

What to bring:  Ideas for what you want out of your apron. We’ll provide materials, but you’re welcome to bring additional materials you’d like to incorporate.

Ages: 16 years old accompanied by guardian
