This course is the certification to use the industrial sewing machines at Seattle Makers. We have a Juki DDL-5550N machine and an Atlas AT-810 Post Bed Sewing Machine.

In this course, we’ll go over set-up and operations of our industrial sewing machines. You will learn how to wind the bobbin, thread the machine, change presser feet and operate safely. Please note, this course requires previous sewing machine experience.  You must complete our Sewing Machine Basics or demonstrate sewing experience to take this class. 

What you’ll take home: Knowledge of how to safely set up and operate these two industrial sewing machines!

Industrial Sewing Machines: Juki DDL-5550N & ATLAS AT-810

Pre-requisites: Sewing Basics 101 + 3 projects or proof of equivalent sewing machine experience. The instructor will reach out to confirm prerequisite knowledge before the class.

Minimum Age: 16 y/o with guardian
