Seattle Makers does not share or sell personal information collected in our facility or via SeattleMakers.org.
Membership Autorenewal
Seattle Makers bills members on a recurring basis each month on the day of the month membership was initiated.
All membership cancellations must occur prior to the next bill date. Members can cancel their own accounts online at SeattleMakers.org; instructions on how to cancel are here. The membership refund policy is here.

If memberships are cancelled within 5 days of activation: Seattle Makers offers refunds for membership fees. A 10% processing fee will be assessed for membership refunds. Please send refund requests to to members@seattlemakers.org.
If memberships are cancelled after 5 days of activation: Seattle Makers does not offer membership refunds except for specific cases, such as disability or death. A 10% processing fee will be assessed for membership refunds. Please send refund requests to to members@seattlemakers.org.
Consultation time cancellation policy
If consultation cancellation or rescheduling are requested with at least 48 hours’ notice: customers will receive a credit that can be used for purchases at the space, and are subject to a 10% processing fee.
If consultation cancellation or rescheduling are requested with less than 48 hours’ notice: no refund will be provided.

Class Cancellation/Transfer Policy
If class cancellation or transfer to another class is requested with at least 48 hours’ notice: customers will receive a credit that can be used for purchases at the space, subject to a 10% processing fee.
If class cancellation or transfer is requested with less than 48 hours’ notice: no refund will be provided.

Seattle Makers reserves the right to cancel programming at any time and will notify students via email and/or phone. In the case of a class cancellation, Seattle Makers will notify class attendees no less than 24 hours before the scheduled class. In the rare event of an Seattle Maker-initiated cancellation, a full refund or credit will be issued.

Seattle Makers does not discriminate on the basis of race, age, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex, gender, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression.
Age Policy
Unless otherwise specified, Seattle Makers classes are open to anyone 11+. Our insurance covers youth makers 11-17, and adults 18+. Anyone under the age of 18 requires a guardian present while they are in the space. Guardians who are not interested in making can purchase the Limited membership here. Weapons
Seattle Makers does not allow any weapons on the premises; this includes weapons covered under a Concealed Weapons Permit.
Storage Policy
Members are generally expected to pack-it-in and pack-it-out. We can store your materials or projects for up to 3 days, when labeled with a name, date, and phone number. If projects or materials are left behind, we will make (2) attempts to reach you. Unfortunately we cannot accept liability for your property, and any unclaimed materials and projects will become property of the space or thrown away at our discretion.

Visitors / Guests
Visitors
Members may have a number of visitors each month depending on their membership level (see seattlemakers.org/memberships for details). Visitors may use the wi-fi but are not allowed to use tools.
Guests
Members may buy Guest Passes (available on the membership page: seattlemakers.org/memberships) for guests. These are one-day memberships and allow tool use (required safety trainings/ certifications still apply). Guests must be accompanied by a member to use the space.
Damages
If the entirety or any part of Seattle Makers’ equipment are damaged due to a Seattle Makers Member’s negligent actions that are in clear violation of the Safety Orientation Agreement, Seattle Makers reserves the right to bill said Seattle Makers Member the market price of the damaged equipment plus labor.
Photo Releases
By signing the Seattle Makers Liability Waiver, individuals consent that Seattle Makers has full and unrestricted publishing and use rights for any photographs (digital or print) taken on the Seattle Makers property by Seattle Makers employees or volunteers in which any image, materials or art, either brought in to or created/generated at Seattle Makers, appears. Participants hereby release, discharge, and agree to hold harmless Seattle Makers from any liability by virtue of any blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form whether intentional or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in the taking of said picture or in any subsequent processing thereof, as well as any publication thereof, including without limitation any claims for libel or invasion of privacy.
Conduct
While in Seattle Makers’ facilities, Seattle Makers does not permit and will not tolerate any inappropriate conduct. Such conduct includes, without limitation, using loud, abusive, offensive, insulting, demeaning language, profanity, lewd conduct or any conduct that harasses or is bothersome to members, guests, or Seattle Makers employees.
Illness
We ask that all members be respectful of staff and your fellow makers. If you are sick and contagious, please do not come into the space. If you have come into the space while sick, you may be asked to leave and come back when you’re at 100%.
Violation of Policy or Rules
If any member or guest violates any of the Policies or Rules, Seattle Makers will ask that person to stop or leave. A member’s violation of any of the Policies or Rules may also cause Seattle Makers in its sole discretion, to terminate that person’s membership and/or other agreements.
Productions
A Seattle Makers membership does not provide for production level fabrication. If you are looking to scale your project, please speak with us before doing so. If Seattle Makers becomes aware of production level work being performed beyond and above the regular scope of membership, we may charge a fee for excessive use, to cover associated excess costs, and at which time we will endeavor to work with you to create a plan that meets your needs within the context of the Seattle Makers prioritization of regular memberships. If we can not agree on a plan that works for both of our needs, and production level fabrication continues, membership will be cancelled, and any associated fees may be charged.
