Ceramics Certification
Seattle Makers’ members (at maker and builder level) who have previous clay experience can get certified to use the ceramic studio by filling out this test-out eligibility form.
Students (members or non-members) with no previous clay experience can also become certified by taking any of our 4-part beginner series.
If you are not a Seattle Makers Member but you have previous clay experience, become a member and get certified!
Studio Usage
Our ceramic studio is open for usage during building hours for all who are certified to use the studio for no extra cost.
Clay Usage
First 20lb of clay is free with joining the membership or signing up for a 4-part series class. Subsequent clay can be purchased in-person at the studio.
Firing Policies
We fire our bisque ware to cone 06 and our glazes to cone 6. We charge for both firings before the bisque at $40 for a quarter kiln shelf worth of work (spaced out and no stacking).
