Ever wondered how to go green on a small scale? On a large scale? Where does one even start? Let me introduce a new Meetup series that talks about Sustainability and going green. Our first Meetup will partner with Earthship Seattle to watch an Earthship documentary that introduces a new sustainable and self-sustaining housing solution. After the documentary, Jamie (the organizer for Earthship Seattle ) will be available to talk about the project to build an Earthship here in King County! Alongside the documentary there will be bug snacks provided! Our Member, Ether, (also the host of the Sustainability series) cooks with the ultimate sustainable protein: Bugs!
Next in the series will be “Insects as a Sustainable Protein,” but the rest of the series is open to ideas! Please tell the host if you are allergic to dust mites or shellfish before consuming any of the bug snacks as there is a chance you will be allergic.
What to bring: Ideas on topics about sustainability you would like to see in future Meetups, ideas on something to make (It is hosted at a Makerspace after all), and an open mind.
Important to know: Please tell the host if you are allergic to dust mites or shellfish before consuming any of the bug snacks as there is a chance you will be allergic.
Schedule & RSVP: January 23, 7-9pm. RSVP via meetup or eventbrite.
