❄️ Lasercut Lanterns

Create your own festive Holiday lanterns using a laser cutter! In this hands-on class, you’ll choose from a collection of intricate holiday-themed designs created especially for this class by local artist Lilia Deering. You’ll then cut your favorites into birch plywood using our makerspace’s laser cutter, making the sides of your lantern.

Perfect for all skill levels, you’ll be guided through the process of customizing your lantern, assembling the pieces, and adding the finishing touches. By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with a glowing, personalized lantern ready to light up your holiday festivities!

What we’ll provide: holiday-themed designs, plywood, 90W laser cutter, and an electric tea light.

What you’ll take home: A small wooden lantern with your favorite holiday designs, perfect for a desk top decoration.

Who it’s for: laser beginners to experts, ages 8+ (ages 8-17 must have guardian present).
