Woodshop Support Hours are a time to come in and work on your woodworking project with a knowledgeable proctor available to answer questions and give hands-on help. It’s also a great chance to meet other woodworking enthusiasts and help each other.
Whether you have a specific question, or you’d just like to work on your project knowing someone will be there if something comes up — we’ll be there to help!
The main proctor will be Maketeer, Ellery O. Ellery is a very knowledgeable woodworker who has a carpentry degree from our local Wood Technology Center and runs their own handy services business, Mix Fixit. Come learn from their broad experience across carpentry and construction, as well as many other forms of making including the fiber arts. They have an endless curiosity about making that they are always happy to share!
The first hour of Woodshop Support Hours will also feature Maketeer woodworking team members Ell A, August T, and Colleen C, so show up early to get the most input!
No need to RSVP, just show up and we’ll help you get things done!
IMPORTANT: We’re happy to talk about projects with visitors but tool use is reserved for members only. As usual, any tool with a motor and a blade requires a certification to use.
