Leather Working Basics: Leather Journal Cover

Industrial Sewing Machine Certification is required before taking this class.

Step into the world of leathercraft in this hands-on class where you’ll make a beautiful and functional leather journal cover—designed to hold replaceable paper inserts so you can use it again and again!

Designed for beginners to leathercraft (but not to sewing), this class introduces you to the essentials of working with leather, including preparing, stitching, and glueing material. You’ll learn how to handle leather on an industrial machine, use specialty tools, and finish your project with clean, professional details.

A paper insert will be provided, so you’ll leave with a complete, refillable journal—and the skills to begin your leatherworking journey.

Pre-requisites: Industrial Sewing Machine Certification class
