In this course, you will learn how to make (AND get to take home!) a gorgeous, laser-cut, 3D wooden model of the Seattle Space Needle.  That’s right, the same Space Needle that was featured at our Seattle Maker Faire booth!  Open to members of Seattle Makers and non-members.  Members can enroll for a discounted rate.  For more information about laser cutters and the other tools/equipment in our co-working space, go here.
Equipment and Software:  You’ll learn the basics of using our Black Cat Lab 90W CO2 laser, as well as how to input a design into RD Works. You’ll be making your model using 6mm Russian birch, wood glue, and sandpaper.
Skill: This class will cover the basics of cutting with lasers, 3D design and construction.
What you’ll get to take home:  You’ll leave with with your very own fully-assembled, 3-foot-tall Space Needle!
