Embroidery Machine Basics

Curious about the embroidery machine sitting on the shelf but not sure how to start using it? This class will demystify the embroidery machine and software, setting you up to design and execute your own custom embroidery!

You will learn the basics of design in the embroidery software Hatch, how to transfer a design from the computer to the embroidery machine, and how to stitch your design with the machine. The first hour will be learning the software and how to export your design to the embroidery machine, with the second hour for you to learn how to use the machine to embroider onto fabric; hoop your fabric/garment and learn what are the best practices when using stabilizer, needles, thread, etc.

What you get to take home:  Knowledge of how to use the Embroidery machine and software.

Whom it’s for: Anyone aged 11+ (youth 11-16 must have a guardian present). No experience necessary. New sewers welcome!
