🎃 Acrylic Light Display: The Modular Holiday Decoration

Looking to make an exciting piece of holiday decor that you can use year after year? Well look no further! Join us and learn to make your own unique, modular, laser-etched acrylic lamps!

First, you’ll learn how to choose your own personal designs in Lightburn, followed by a laser etch session to create  lamps with spooky Halloween designs, festive Thanksgiving turkeys, spirited Christmas or Hanukkah displays, or all of the above!

What you get to take home: Your own acrylic lamp with removable display pieces that you can swap out for every season or occasion.  You can also create and purchase additional acrylic display pieces for $10.

Prerequisites: None!

What we’ll provide: Plug-in light base, acrylic panels to cut and etch, a tutorial on Lightburn

What to bring: A can do attitude!

If you’d like to think about your design ahead of time, you can:

  • Do a Google Image Search for what you’d like to etch
  • Use the [Tools] button to the right to limit it to:
    • Black and white
    • Image size: Large
    • Type: Clip Art  (note: including the words “silhouette” or “icon” in your search will give you similar results)
  • Save the image or email it to yourself, and we’ll help you take it from there in the workshop!

Open to members and non-members.  Want to join the space?  Here is the link to become a member.

Ages: 8 years old and up. Ages 8-17 must be accompanied by guardian.
