Creative Writing for the Confined

Note: this is an online event

During this elongated time of isolation many people are battling boredom and starving for socialization – if that describes you, come join us for a creative writing escape!

The event schedule:
• The first 5-10 minutes we will socialize a little bit and determine our differing levels of experience and writing interests (e.g. poetry, prose, literary genres). No prior experience is required.
• We will provide a writing prompt; however, it isn’t required that you follow this prompt.
• Everyone will take 15-20 minutes to write. Feel free to use whatever medium you prefer.
• We will come back together and a few people can volunteer to read their pieces aloud. You can state at the beginning of the reading if you would like feedback or not.

For whom: Members and non-members, all ages welcome, no experience necessary
What to “bring”: your favorite writing media, whether it’s your computer, pen and paper, or quill and parchment
How: online! The link will be posted here in the days leading up to the event.
