CAD 201: Intermediate Fusion 360

Do you already have some experience with 3D modeling and want to experiment with multi-part designs and more advanced tools? Come and design a custom shaped box or jar with a lip and groove fitting to hold jewelry, paper clips, or various knick-knacks. You will finish the class with a file ready to be 3D printed!

This class will introduce you to features that build on the basics, including: split body, shell, loft, sweep, revolve, emboss, and managing multiple parts in a file.

Prerequisites: Experience with basic features in Fusion360 including creating and editing sketches and extrusions, filleting and dimensioning; and an active Autodesk account.

What we’ll provide: Computers with the software already installed.

What to bring: Set up your Fusion 360 account prior to class starting. If you are a hobbyist and are not going to sell items you design, you can get a free personal account: https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/personal.

What you’ll create: A box or jar with a matching lid of your own design!
