Arduino 101

Want to make interactive electronics? Join us for Arduino 101!

This is an absolute beginner class to using an Arduino. No coding or electronics experience necessary! We will have extra Arduinos for people to borrow or purchase to use in class.

In this class we will go over what Arduino is, how to use the Arduino IDE, how to blink an LED (light), how to read a button press and a potentiometer (knob) and how to control a servo (Robotics / RC motor).

You will need to bring: Your laptop with the appropriate Arduino IDE software. Navigate to: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software and download the appropriate Arduino IDE for Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux. Install on your laptop and you’ll be ready to go.
If you have trouble with the download, arrive 15 minutes early, and we can try to help you with the install.

Whom it’s for: Those interested in building electronics.

Minimum Age: 11 y/o with guardian.

Pre-requisites: none

Instructor: Tony Baltazar
