Tote Bag Sewing Workshop – Beta Class

Looking for a sewing project that is eco friendly, stylish, and practical? Join us for a tote bag sewing workshop! During this project-based workshop, we’ll talk a bit about design and planning before diving in to making our own tote bags. This class is designed for beginner sewists who have a few projects under their belt but are looking for a new challenge. An instructor will be present to demonstrate best practices and assist as needed. By the end of this event attendees will have sewn together a tote bag of their own design.

What you get to take home: Your own tote bag made at Seattle Makers! The bag will be fully lined and features a large front pocket.

Prerequisites: Sewing 101 or equivalent sewing knowledge. You should be comfortable operating a sewing machine and sewing a straight line. If you’re unsure email clarermason@gmail.com with a description of you experience.

What we’ll provide: Thread, sewing machines, and fabric.

What to bring: A can do attitude! We’ll provide materials, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you like.
