Ready to take your sewing to the next level? Join us for our Serger and Coverstitch Certification!

This course is the certification to use the industrial sewing machines at Seattle Makers. We have a White Speedylock differential 1800 serger and a Janome Cover Pro1000CP coverstitch machine.

In this course, we’ll go over set-up and operations of each machine. You will learn how to thread the machine and operate safely. Please note, this course requires previous sewing machine experience.  You must complete our Sewing Machine Basics or demonstrate sewing experience to take this class. The instructor will reach out to you before the course begins to ensure you have the required experience, so please monitor your email.

What you’ll be able to to do by the end of the certification: You’ll leave knowing how to safely set up and operate the serger and coverstitch machine!

Pre-requisites: Sewing Machine Basics or proof of equivalent sewing machine knowledge

Minimum Age: 11 y/o with guardian
