We have upcoming 3D printer certifications and TinkerCad workshops taking place at our makerspace in South Lake Union! All courses are open to members of Seattle Makers and non-members. Ages 6-106 are welcome. Go to the links below to buy your tickets.
UPCOMING 3D PRINTER CERTIFICATIONS
This course is the certification to be able to use the 3D printers at Seattle Makers to make your own projects. You’ll learn the basics of FDM (Fused deposition modeling) on our own Alex Checker’s Prusia I3+ 3D Printers. This class will cover the printing with PLA and discuss other types of materials that can be printed. We’ll also touch on designing for 3D printing.
UPCOMING TINKERCAD WORKSHOPS
Are you interested in learning how to model your own products for 3D printing? This workshop will give you an introduction to the world of TinkerCAD, free 3D modeling software. You will learn how to use the program as well as how to transfer your newly-created files to to 3D printers, so you can see your project through from start to finish! If you can, bring a laptop and mouse so you can follow along with the exercises we will be running. The Tinkercad workshop is before the 3D printer certifications – sign up for both!
