Tinkercad

Do you have an interest in the world of 3D Printing, but don’t know where to start? TinkerCAD is a great first program to start on!
TinkerCAD is a free, browser-based 3D CAD (Computer-Aided Design) program created by AutoDesk, with a large community that adds new features to the program. It’s a great program for all ages, from 6 to 106!  Open to members of Seattle Makers and non-members.  Members can enroll for a discounted rate.   For more information about the 3D printers and the other tools/equipment in our workshop, go here.
What you’ll learn: This class will give you an introduction to the world of TinkerCAD. You will learn about the interface, how to manipulate and shape the workspace to match a 3D printer space, how to insert, match, and align shapes, and how to use additive or subtractive tools to create exactly what you’re looking for. You will also learn how to transfer your newly-created files to to 3D printers, so you can see your project through from start to finish!
What to bring: If you can, bring a Laptop and Mouse so you can follow along with the exercises we will be running.
