Learn how to bring your own imagery to clay in this hands-on screen printing workshop. Students will use pre-burnt screens to print designs and underglazes onto leather-hard clay slabs, exploring transfer techniques along the way. This session is a great next step for makers who already have clay experience and want to add screen printing to their skillset.

What you will create: A small tile with screen-printed imagery you are welcome to fire at SM or take with you to your own studio + the knowledge and confidence to start printing with clay

Whom it’s for: Ages 16+. Potters and makers looking to learn new decorative techniques and mediums

What we’ll provide: dedicated space with pre-designed and set-up screens and pre-made slabs and ink for practicing and experimenting.

What to bring: Bring a notebook/ sketchbook and clothes that are safe to get messy in.
