Rotary CNC Certification on the Industrial CNC –
DISCOUNTED 50% FOR PILOT CLASS
Multiple Locations:
Class description
For members who already have learned how to use our smaller 3′ Wood CNC router, this class will level you up to be able to do Rotary Jobs on our Industrial CNC.
Rotary jobs allow you to create elaborate projects like statues, fancy table legs, and ornate columns.
Prerequisite:
Strongly Recommended: You have completed at least one job on your own on any other CNC machine.
This two-hour course is the certification to be able to use the Industrial 4′ x 10′ Seattle Makers to make your own projects.
Once you are certified, you will be able to book time on the Big CNC, subject to availability. For safety, even once you are certified, each machine time session you book must begin with a 30-minute guided setup portion, where a CNC Team Member will validate your job files and help safely set up the rotary job.
Equipment: Legacy Woodworking Gemini 4′ x 10′ Wood CNC Router. Software: VCarve Pro and Mach3.
Skills: This class will cover the rotary features of the Big CNC, leveling up your VCarve skills to design a tool-change job for the Big CNC, safely setting up the material, and using the Mach3 software to run the rotary job.
What you’ll be able to to do by the end of the certification: You’ll leave with resources to design a tool-change rotary job in VCarve, the knowledge of how to book time with this special machine, and how to safely set up and run jobs with guided setup.
