Ready to level up your electronics skills? In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of working with programmable LEDs by creating your own sound-reactive smart lamp. No experience required!

The course covers:

• Soldering and powering an LED strip
• Connecting LEDs to a microcontroller
• Uploading custom code
• Integrating sensors and buttons
• Controlling LEDs over WiFi

This class is a great primer to unlock LEDs for other applications like smart homes, cosplay, and light installations.

What you’ll create: A sound-responsive, edge-lit acrylic smart lamp with embedded RGB LEDs

Whom it’s for: Anyone aged 14+ (youth 14-16 must have a guardian present). Basic Arduino and soldering experience may come in handy, but are not necessary.

What to bring: All tools and materials provided. We’ll send out instructions before the event for those who want to use their own laptop or design their own acrylic panels.
